爱情和婚姻作为人类重要的日常生活内容,历来是中外文学作品中重要的题材和主题,而爱情中的男女主人公也一直是文人们关注的对象。运用文学比较的方法,研究处于不同国度、不同文化土壤中东西方两个女性——海斯特·白兰与潘金莲悲剧命运的原因,可以看出中西女性悲剧命运的共同性成因。

Love and marriage as a human major daily content,has always been a kind of quest for the Chinese and foreign literary subjects and themes.Therefore,the love of the hero and heroine has become a cultural object of attention.This paper uses literature comparative method,studying the causes of＂tragic＂fate in different countries,different cultural soil of two women in the East and West,Hester BaiLan and Pan,to conclude common cause of the tragic fate about Chinese and western women.
