把长安文化理解为以关中地区为主体的陕西文化,比较适中。史前长安文化可追溯到百万年前蓝田猿人原始文化。在文明时代,长安文化发展经历了西周、秦国秦朝、西汉、隋唐四次高峰,创造了辉煌。长安文化的特点,一是肇兴较早,二是地域性与超地域性共存,三是长期居于引领地位,四是前期与后期反差巨大,五是由多种文化交汇交融而成。长安文化是中华文化的源头之一,对中华文化的发展起了奠基作用。
