基于语料库的高职非英语专业学生英语词汇能力调查

Corpus-based Investigation of the English Vocabulary Ability of Higher Vocational Non-professional Learners

通过构建高职非英语专业学习者语料库,并将其与本族语学习者语料库进行对比,可以看出:首先,高职非英语专业学生实际掌握的英语词语较少,运用能力有限;其次,高职非英语专业学生虽然在词语的综合使用方面达到了一定水平,但在含有字母较多的长词使用方面仍有欠缺;第三,母语文化对高职非英语专业学生的英语使用影响较大;第四,在表达衔接、转折等意义的词语的使用上,高职学生仍有较大欠缺。对此,高职英语教师除了要加强学生基本的拼写训练外,还要从学生实际情况出发,在完成日常教学任务的同时,给予学生充分的词汇练习时间、给予学生更多的语言资料来进行全面练习,最终达到提高学生综合英语应用能力的目标。

This paper uses the method of corpus to construct higher vocational non professional learners＇corpus （ HVC ）, contrasts the use of vocabulary with native language learners, and then discusses the vocabulary depth, breadth and the ability for use of the higher vocational learners, in hopes of correctly appraising the ability of vocabulary use of higher vocational non - professional learners and providing raw data for higher vocational English teaching.
