Lu Xun＇s humanistic spirit, both extensive and profound, is worthy of our study and admiration in three aspects, which are the spirit of independence, the spirit of tenacity and the spirit of soil. The spirit of independence embodies the integrity and courage of the backbone of the Chinese nation while the spirit of tenacity reflects tenacious will and nature of Chinese people. As for the spirit of soil, it represents the quality and character of Chinese intellectuals, which are essentially dependable, diligent and rigorous. These three spirits can fully demonstrate the essence and character of Lu Xun and manifest the soul of the Chinese nation that esteems by the whole world. As materialism and the thought of ＂valuing official titles＂ rampant in present society, Lu Xun stimulates us to response to the call of the soul of the Chinese nation and revitalize the humanistic spirit.
