This paper illustrated the value and significance of Dushu Zazhi for the compilation and revision of large dictionaries from the perspective of characters, meanings and words which ＂Dictionary of Chinese Characters＂, ＂Chinese Dictionary＂ and other large dictionaries didn＇ t collect and from the perspective of providing documentary evidences or earlier documentary evidences for dictionaries.
