Diagnosis and Treatment of Eperythrozoonosis in Hogs

通过临床症状、病理解剖和实验室检验,对海南省定安县定城镇36户农户饲养的98头猪出现的一种不明原因的突发病进行诊断,确定该病为猪附红细胞体病。提出加强饲养管理,减少应激反应,做好消毒工作和药物预防的预防措施;最后通过药物治疗,治愈病猪93头,治愈率达95%。

The unknown disease of 98 hogs raised by 36 households in Dingcheng Town, Dingan County, Hainan Province was diagnosed as eperythrozoonosis through analyzing their symptoms, morbid anatomy and laboratory test. Preventive measures such as enhancing forage management, reducing stress reaction, sterilizing and using preventive drugs were proposed. The results showed that 93 of the 98 infected hogs were cured through taking drugs, and the recovery rate achieved 95%.
