In this paper, a remote positioning and monitoring system base on android and google maps is proposed. In this implementation, we mainly use the open source APIs provided by Android and Google Maps, so the develop and operating costs are very low, yet the technologies involved are very advanced. This system could be applied to various fields and has a very broad prospect.
