The intelligent substation is an important component of the strong and intelligent power gird. The construction principle of intelligent substation is developing by polit projects. This essay introduces the technological feature of 3 intelligent substaions operated in Shanxi Province in 2011, and compares their design programme to conclude in a guidelines for construction of intelligent substations in Shanxi Province.
