This paper describes the importance and feasibility of substituting blueprintsand sulfuric-acid drawings with white drawings and makes comparative analysis from economic and technological viewpoints on process flows of conventional printing ＆ copying machine and modern printing ＆ copying machine. Besides, a personal opinion is also expressed with regard to the urgency of accelerating the substitution of blueprints with white drawings in engineering design institutes of iron ＆ steel industry.
