On the Spread of “the Somber Wind”:A Comparative Study of the Shot Novels Written by Edgar Allan Poe, Andreev and Lu Xun

"阴冷"文风,即凭借独特的语言、写作方式给读者造成恐怖、阴森之感。从爱伦·坡到安特莱夫再到鲁迅,三位作家处在不同时期、不同国家,却不约而同地成为这种风格的领导者。一方面,后辈作家受到前人影响继承了"阴冷"风格;另一方面,通过分析文本的内在主题及外在表现手法后发现,三人因其生活背景以及各自的创作诉求不同,在风格传承上又有其各自特点和侧重。鲁迅在继承前人"阴冷"风格时,更多地表达出自己对社会矛盾根源的探索和革命前途的呐喊,这显示出鲁迅对前人的超越。

The somber style, which depends on the unique words and writing techniques, creates a gloomy and ghastly atmosphere. Although the three famous novelists Edgar Allan Poe, Andreev and Lu Xun lived in different backgrounds, they definitely become the leaders of the style in their times. On the one hand, later novelists affected by previous inherit the somber style; on the other hand, later novelists have their own emphasize. Especially Lu Xun who applied himself to explore the roots of social conflicts and the future of revolution exceeded his predecessors in thought, and his idea enlightened later scholars.
