The Non-national Economy:On the Rationalization of its Aggregate structure,Growth and Patterns

Owingtothe20yearsofreformanddevelopment,theNon -nationalEconomy(hereaftercalled NNE,which,specifiedinthispaper,referstoalltypesofeconomiesexceptforthetotally-state - ownedenterprises,inorderthatwemaymakeuseofthepublishedstatistics)hasbecometheleading drivingsectorthatkeeps propellingthesustainedandrapid growthofthenationaleconomy.The foundationonwhichNNEplayssuchanimportantroleistherapidincreaseinthenumberofNNE,an increasewhichhasadjustedtheproportionofinputandoutputofvariouseconomiesinthenationale conomy,forcingthestatusoftheslowly -growingnationaleconomytokeeploweringandforcingthe nationaleconomytoconcentrategraduallyinupstreamindustries;propellingthestatusofthefast growingNNEtokeeprisingandpropellingtheNNEtodevelopinmiddle -anddown -streamindus tries.ThatisoneofthebasicfeaturesofChina’seconomicgrowthpatternsinthemidperiodofher industrialization. Inmidandlate1990s,however,thegrowthrateofinputandoutputoftheNNEtrendedtowarda decline,resultinginthenegativeeffectonthecontinuedrapidgrowthofthenationaleconomyonthe onehand,andontheother,resultinginthehithertounknownpressureonthestructuraldeviationof theNNE.Uptonow,nomuchconcentratedanalysishasbeenmade,underthisbackground,ofthe NNEstatusquo,problemandtrend;andnomuchdiscussinonhasbeencarriedonofthewaytothe growthofNNEintheearly21stcentury.Thispaperattemptstoprovideacasestudyandformsome judgmentsintheseaspects. Theanalysismadeinthisarticlewillcenteronindustries,becauseinthepresentphase,industryis thedriving sectorinthenationaleconomicdevelopment,asectorwheretheNNEmakesmajorcontri butionstoChina’seconomicgrowth,themainsectorwherethenationaleconomy’spatternsaread justedatpresent.Besides,moredataavailablewillsupportouranalysesinthisrespect.Thispaperwill analyzetheaggregatestructure,growth,theframeworkandtrendofbusinesspatterns,andtheinternal andexternalsystemsoftheNNE,andwillprofferageneralizedconclusion.
