Osamu Dazai plunged to his death in 1948 right after Ningen Shikalcu was created, making it his swansong. In this piece of work, he described the sadness of a person who lived faithfully but was abandoned by society, which implies Dazai ＇ s personal experience and feelings. Dazai put his unique understanding of Christian into the work to express his yearning towards Jesus. This paper aims to esplore his understanding of Christian thought and his faith by comparing Ningen Shikakuwith his other works.
