Evanioidea is an important Superfamily of Hymenoptera appeared during the Jurassic radiation. In 1910, Brues described two fossil species of Evanioidea, Pristaulacus rohweri and Pristaulacus bradleyi, from the Early Cretaceous of America. After Brues's work, nearly 30 papers dealing with the fossil Evanioidea of world have been published, describing 35 genera and 110 species assigned to 4 families and 8 subfamilies from 18 countries. A list summarizing all described Evanioidea fossils with their distribution and geological age and a chart showing numbers of the described Evanioidea fossils in different geological ages are provided. The characters of insect community are summarized. Some issues in this research field and prospects for future research are discussed.
