从佛经翻译看中国的传统翻译观及其启示

Characteristics of Chinese Traditional Translation Theories and Inspirations Obtained from the Translation of Buddhist Scripture

分析了中国在佛经翻译中所采取的策略,从而揭示中国佛经翻译传统并非像勒弗维尔所说的那样"中国译者更倾向于归化原文",而是经历了直译、意译、直译与意译的有机结合的过程,并在此基础上阐述了我国古代传统翻译观及其对今天翻译研究的启示。

The translation of the Buddhist Scripture is the main stream of translation in China with long history and profound influence. This paper tries to analyze the strategies that are adopted in the translation of the Buddhist Scriptures. The strategies adopted in the translation of Buddhist Scripture are： literal translation and free translation alternately dominates the translation activity and then they develop themselves into maturity until the final realization of two principles＇ integration, not Lefevere＇ s idea in Chinese and Western Thinking on Translation that Chinese translators always tend to acculturate. Based on these analyses, we are going to elaborate the traditional translation ideas of China and the inspirations obtained from these traditional translation theories.
