摘要
文章根据相关史籍中颇为有限的记载,特别是明清两代递刻的《四译馆则》关于明代北京四夷馆的纪事,对四夷馆所辖西番馆的职司与史事做了考察。并以西番馆的个案研究为样例,对明代四夷馆职能的内涵与外延作了界定。
On the basis of the Regulations for Ethnic Language Interpreter Bureaus（Siyi Guan Ze） and other relevant documents printed in the Ming and Qing Dynasty,this article discusses the role and history of Tibetan Interpreter Bureau（Xifan Guan） affiliated with Ethnic Language Interpreter Bureaus（Siyi Guan） in the Ming Dynasty.The case study of Tibetan Interpreter Bureau means to find out the specific functions of Ethnic Language Interpreter Bureau.
