摘要
本文首先对现行大学英语教学目标与教材进行了分析与探讨。在此基础上,借鉴整体知识观与整体教育思想,尝试提出依据当前高校学生需求多样性的现实情况,建议对大英教学进行分层次的目标定位,并对三个层次目标的配套教材建设进行了探讨。
The paper attempts to redefine the objective of college English teaching by seeing it as part of the overall aims of higher education, by borrowing ideas from complexity theory and holistic education. Considering varied levels of language proficiency and learning needs of the college students across the country, the paper recommends three levels of teaching objectives and discusses the issue of teaching materials development for the objective of each level.
