An Influence Factor Model for Academic Status of Journals and Its Test

学术地位是导致期刊等级秩序产生和维持的根源，它反映了学术共同体对期刊质量的历史性判断和对未来质量的预期；依据社会空间和资本理论，构建了期刊学术地位影响因素模型，并通过问卷调查对模型进行了实证分析；结果发现，期刊的社会资本和符号资本对学术地位的获取具有显著影响，同时，社会资本对符号资本亦有显著影响；期刊所拥有的社会资本是期刊学术地位的主要影响因素。

Academic status leads to journals＇ hierarchy and its maintenance. It reflects the journal quality judged by academic community members historically, as well as demonstrates scholars＇ quality expectations of journal in the future. The model of impact factors for journal status based on the Social Space Theory and Capital Theory was proposed and verified by structured questionnaire. The study finds that journal status is highly based on social capital and symbol capital, and social capital has significant influence on symbol capital. Thus, social capital is the main factor and source of journal status.
