摘要
后殖民女性主义批评将女性主义和后殖民主义结合在一起,将女性主义关注的目标从单纯的性别平等拓展到种族平等、阶级平等,揭露第三世界女性被传统的父权文化和殖民主义的霸权文化双重边缘化的处境。这一批评非常适合解读被美国主流文化边缘化的美国华裔女性作家的文学作品。在后殖民女性主义语境下解读《灶神之妻》,可以凸显华裔美国女作家谭恩美如何揭示华裔美国女性对父权统治和殖民主义霸权文化的抗争,以及如何建构全球化语境中女性全新的性别身份和文化身份的写作目的。
Postcolonial feminism, which combines feminism and postcolonialism, focuses on ethnic and class e- quality besides gender equality, aiming at exposing the situation that the third world women are double marginalized by the traditional patriarchal culture and colonial hegemonic culture. Hence, it is quite suitable for the interpreta- tion of the literary works written by Chinese American female writers marginalized by the mainstream culture in A- merica. To study The Kitchen God' s Wife in the perspective of postcolonial feminism highlights how Amy Tan ex- poses the protests of the Chinese American women against the patriarchy and colonial hegemonic culture, and how to reconstruct women' s new gender identity and cultural identity.
