The landscape sketch is one of the construction factors of the cityscape and urban landscape, but also it consti- tutes one of the foundations of the city image and urban environment identity. By exploring the application of semiotics in the landscape sketch design, the article analyzes the principle and source of the symbols in the landscape sketch design, and strengthens the personality of the modern urban landscape and builds the urban features and characteristics.
