Lin Yuxi was born in Anxi, Quanzhou, in southeastern China＇s Fujian Province. It was after she had graduated from college in 1998 when tea became an integral part of her life. Within a few years, she had become a famous specialist within the teaart community. She received her qualification as an advanced tea-art teacher and she opened a teahouse, in which she taught her customers how to make tea. She encountered many hardships, which sometimes left her frustrated, but she never gave up her pursuing her dream.
