摘要
The film is set in the White Deer Plain of northwestern China＇s Shaanxi Province. People of White Deer Village, including the Bai and Lu families, have lived in the area for generations. The film, which traces the two families＇ intertwined stories from 1912 to 1938, opens with three little boys playing in a vast, burnished wheat field.
