摘要
本文分析、检讨优选论在现代音系学中的地位及是非得失。我们首先阐述优选论产生的历史背景、理论假设、立论的理论优势,然后从音系不透明、完全不合语法、自由变体、过度生成、制约条件共谋及普遍性六个方面反思优选论面临的问题,根据汉语事实对OT做进一步的评估。最后对音系学研究领域中存在的一些问题进行反思。
This paper discusses the pros and cons of Optimality Theory(OT)from the perspective of the development of phonological theories.It examines its foundation background,basic principles,as well as the theoretical claims of the advantages of OT over rule-based phonology.It also exposes the problems OT faces through the analysis of opacity,absolute ungrammaticality,free variation,over-generation,constraints conspiracy,and universality.Additionally,the paper discusses the means to evaluate linguistic theories based on tone sandhi data from Chinese dialects.
