点集拓扑课程因其理论性强,抽象难懂,致使学生失去学习兴趣。然而点集拓扑既是理工科相关专业的一门基础课,也是后续课程如拓扑学、泛函分析、概率论等课程的基础。它的许多理论与方法不仅给数学的许多分支提供一种重要的理论,而且为其它学科提供研究方法和语言。文章对缺乏点集拓扑学习兴趣进行了分析,采取了诸如加强直观图形教学,注重对比应用,完善成绩评估等教法改革,取得了一定成效。

The course of point set topology is theoretical, abstract and difficult, so students lose interest in learning it.However, point set topology is not only a basic course of scientific and engineering specialties, but also important to such follow-up courses as topology, functional analysis and theory of ratio. It not only provides many theories and methods for the branches of mathematics, but also provides research methods and language for some other disciplines. The research has analyzed students＇ weariness in learning point set topology, and made reforms in the teaching methods such as strengthening the intuitive graphic teaching, contrast application and improving grade assessment and got good effects.
