母亲受教育水平与农民工子女学业成绩:基于农民工家庭的实证调查

Mothers' Education and Migrant Children's Academic Achievements:A Study Based on Field Research of Migrant Labors' Family

学业成绩对农民工子女能否获得高水平教育和实现向上流动具有非常重要的影响,但目前农民工子女的学业成绩现状并不乐观,不利于其未来发展。基于调研数据,采用Ordered Probit模型对调研资料进行分析,发现母亲受教育水平正向、显著且稳健影响农民工子女的学业成绩,即母亲受教育水平越高,农民工子女学业成绩越好。在总结研究结论的基础上,从加强对农民工的再教育培训、调整教育政策、加大对农村教育的投入等方面提出若干思考。

Academic achievements are of great significance if a migrant worker＇s child hopes to receive higher education and enjoy more opportunities for personal development.However,currently migrant children are not blessed with hopeful academic record,which is disadvantageous for their future growth.A regression analysis was made by using Ordered Probit Model of the research data and found that migrant mothers＇ education has positive and robust influence on the their children＇s academic achievements,which means the higher the mothers＇ education is,the better their children＇s academic achievements will be.Based on the conclusions,we put forward some thoughts such as enhancing the migrant labors＇ reeducation and training,adjusting the educational policy and increasing the input of rural education.
