bronze in the Shang Dynasty developed to its peak period and occupied an important position in numerous bronze ornamentation.Different decoration on bronze played a different social role.In many ornamentation,the main ones were Taotie,dragon and other motifs,such as vortex patterns.These patterns in various occasions played an important role in the service of the society in the Shang Dynasty.
