摘要 日本千叶大学的Y．Yasumura和Y．Kawakita两位学者于1963年研制出Vero细胞系，来源于非洲绿猴肾（Cercopithecusaethiops）上皮细胞。1964年，Simizu博士将第93代的Vero细胞提供给英国的Tropical病毒实验室（NIAID，NIH）。1979年，第113代Vero细胞提供给美国标准菌种保藏中心（AmericaTypeCultureCollection，ATCC），传代至第121代建立细胞库。Vero细胞为连续细胞系，
