西安凤栖原唐郭仲文墓发掘简报

The Excavation of Guo Zhongwen’s Tomb at Fengqiyuan in Xi’an

2010年9月～2011年2月,西安市文物保护考古研究院在西安市长安区韦曲街道办事处东兆余村北发掘了一座唐墓葬共30座,。据墓志可知,墓主为唐郭子仪之曾孙郭仲文,葬于会昌二年(824年)。墓中发现了大量精美的壁画,对于研究唐代晚期墓葬壁画具有重要的价值。此墓的发掘为研究唐代墓葬的理葬制度提供r珍贵的实物资料,郭氏家族墓地的发现为进一步研究郭氏家族的变迁史提供厂新线索。

In September 2010 through February 2011, Xi＇an Institute of Cultural Heritage Conservation and Archaeology excavated a tomb of the Tang Dynasty to the north of Dong Zhaoyu Village in Chang＇an District, Xi＇an City. The unearthed epitaph showed that the occupant of this tomb was Guo Zhongwen, who was the great-grandson of Guo Ziyi, and was entombed in the second year of Huichang Era （842 CE）. This tomb bears large amount of exquisite murals which are very important for the research on the tomb murals of the late Tang Dynasty. The excavation of this tomb provided valuable physical materials for the research on the burial system of the Tang Dynasty; the discovery of the clan cemetery of Guo Family provided new clues for the further research on the vicissitudes of the Guo Family in the Tang Dynasty.
