The novel of Inside the Temple is an adaptation of the renowned drama version of West Chamber. The fictional adaptation features special language traits and poetic beauty. The most striking feature is an addition of lyric expression within the author＇ s narration for the purpose of thematic prominence in order that readers can rightfully interpret the epic account of the love story rather than indulge themselves in the well wrought literary form. The fictional re-canonization of the dramatic version of West Chamber has basically materialized the attempt to have a cross-genre innovation of this classical work.
