摘要 On the eve of the disintegration of the Soviet Bloc, the "End of History" theory arose in international relations. Two decades on, faced with a vastly transformed world, its originator, Francis Fukuyama, was obliged to acknowledge that he may have overstated his position. Growing global multipolarity, economic globalization and the information revolution, The world has seen great changes over the past two decades:the emergence of new political forces,proliferating challenges and threats,and louder voices from new opinion agents.China's foreign diplomacy is confronted with difficult issues in seeking to ensure a peaceful external environment to preserve its domestic stability and boost its modernization drive.Efforts need to be made to harmonize relationships in six key areas.
