On the Network Effects in Express Services

从快递供给和需求的角度,提出并分析快递网络的网络效应。快递网络效应意味着快递网络变化过程中价值在供给网络和需求网络上的实现,且供需两个层面的网络都表现出直接网络效应和间接网络效应。基于网络效应的快递网络演化方式可为快递及其它类型物流活动的市场、组织、政府管制等方面的研究和实践提供一种新的思路。

This paper proposes the issue of express network effects and offers an analysis from the angle of supply and demand,which means the actualization of values in both supply and demand networks during the progress of the express service network,and there is a revelation of both direct and indirect effects.Thus an evolution mode of express network based on network effect is proposed to provide a new approach for research and practice in marketing,organization,government regulation and other aspects concerning express services and other types of logistics activities.
