This paper introduces the principle of flat narrowing technology of computer-based flat knitting machine,illustrates the single needle single side flat narrowing method,single needle double side flat narrowing method,two needle single side flat narrowing method and two needle double side flat narrowing method,and summarizes the key operations of the flat narrowing technology.It can be concluded that compared to the single needle flat narrowing,the braid through two needle flat narrowing cam make the edge smoother and more beautiful,and the yarn tension is also lowered,thus the loop structure is more stable and the drop stitch can be avoided to a great degree.
