英语学科建设中的文化自觉与自决

摘要 文化自觉与自决是英语学科建设的敏感点,把握好文化自觉与自决永远是英语学科建设的责任和要务。在全球化背景下,我国英语学科建设必须抛弃文化上的学徒心态,在借鉴域外文化的进程中捍卫自身的文化版图,以此构建学科的立足之所,并在文化交流与转换的"二度符号化"过程中创新文化观念,同时注重学科目标的终极关怀,让英语学科脱离唯工具论的窠臼,重新回到其基本任务和使命上来:在语言习得的基础上对域外域内文化进行编码解码,最终实现跨文化交流。这也是英语人必须秉持的文化意识和文化立场。 Cultural self-awareness and self-determination is the trigger point for Chinese English language teaching and researching institutions and cultural self-awareness and self-determination are the responsibility and fundament for the institutions. It is necessary to get rid of the cultural apprentice-mindedness for our learners and defend our own cultures in the progress of learning the exotic cultures with the global backgrounds. Thus, Chinese English language teaching and researching can be constructed and new cultural concepts can be created during the cultural exchange and transformation. The ultimate goals of the institutions earn more attention and learners make Chinese English break free from the old function as a tool to return to its original task and mission - encoding and decoding the intra-domain and exotic cultures based on the language acquisition to achieve cross-cultural exchanges ultimately, and these are also the cuhural consciousness for Chinese English learners to follow strictly.
