The Use of Gender as a Term and Analytical Category in Historical Field in France

探寻了上个世纪90年代至2004年,"性别"在法国历史领域中的接受、理解、使用、传播和本土化的轨迹:从抱有疑虑而被拒用,以致大量经典著作中"性别"这个范畴的缺失,到发展为所归结的六种使用方法或引发的六种转变,形成了由妇女史转向性别史研究的主流趋势。

The thesis explores the introduction, reception, understanding, construction, spread and evolution of the concept Gender in the French historical field from the 1990s to 2004. Beginning with doubt about the term Gender, refusal to use it and lack of ＂Gender＂ in many classical works, six kinds of usages of this term or six transformations caused by the usage were developed, leading to the changes from women＇s history to gender history as a mainstream study.
