Politics in Republic of China within the scope of New Cultural History:Review on the overseas works on the history of the Republic of China

摘要近年来,海外用新文化史方法研究民国政治史的代表性英文专著有《唤醒中国》、《塑造共和国民》、《公民之辩》与《迷信体制》,展示出新文化史所提供的与传统政治史互补的新视角和新方法。新文化史重视核心概念和文化象征在历史发展过程中意义和价值的变化,强调文化构建中的权力关系。将新文化史引入政治史研究,不仅能够弥补传统政治史研究的不足,而且也为政治史拓宽了视野。民国时期是帝制国家向现代民族国家转变的关键时期,涉及政治、社会、文化、经济等相互勾连的各个方面,海外民国史研究的经验表明,新文化史方法的引入能更有效地推动国内对民国政治史的研究。 During recent years,there appeared a lot of English monographs overseas on the politics in Republic of China with the methodology of New Culture History.As the republican period is a key period from an imperial country to a modern national one and involves politics,society,culture and economy,etc.,experience of overseas researches on the history of the Republic of China shows that the introduction of new culture history methodology can more effectively promote the domestic researches of politics in Republican China.
