谢六逸是贵州近代著名的新闻学家、编辑学家,对抗日战争时期的贵州文化建设作出了重要贡献。他创办编辑了很多进步文艺刊物,并在贵阳文通书局编辑出版了许多抗日书籍,对抗日文化进行广泛的宣传,让贵州乃至西南的军民了解战争前线的情况,激励贵州军民支援抗战,坚定了全国军民坚持抗战的信心。
