This paper studies the origin and characteristics of hand-painted silk wallpaper, the application of contemporary hand-painted silk wallpaper and the decoration type and analyzes its material choosing and drawing process so as to understand this hand-painted wallpaper like elaborate-style painting. The purely manual processing craft of hand-painted silk wallpaper can fulfill large-scale individual pattern manifestation and multicolor shading. The size and form of patterns can be changed at will according to the actual space requirement, thus presenting a unique decorative effect and personalized taste. Meanwhile, it is removable and replaceable. Hand-painted silk wallpaper is a perfect combination between traditional painting and decorative materials of internal eaves.
