贵州由于其特殊的地理气候环境和民族文化习俗,形成了具有野性与神性的地域文化。明代建省以来,域外画家涌入贵州,形成了具有江南文化气质的贵州水墨画,随着本土画家的崛起,贵州水墨画完全形成了自身的文化品格。

Guizhou acquires a wild and divine regional culture due to its peculiar geography,climate and ethnic culture.Since Guizhou was upgrades as a province in Ming Dynasty,lots of artists from other provinces have poured into Guizhou,helping to shape Guizhou Chinese-Ink（and Wash） Painting style with a strong flavor of that of Southern Yangtze River.While with the rise of Guizhou native painters,Guizhou Chinese-Ink（and Wash） Painting has fully developed distinctive local cultural traits.
