Realism, Institutionalism and the Development of Economics in China

本文试图对当代西方经济学发展中的现实主义运动进行考察 ,尤其关注了该运动中较有影响的制度主义思潮 ,并对这场运动所体现出的各流派的最新动向和发展趋势进行着力刻画。在这种背景下 ,以现实主义理念为线索 ,以制度经济学在中国的发展为切入点 ,回顾中国经济学 2 0年发展所取得的理论成就和不足 ,并揭示中国经济学在探索和解释中国改革和发展两大现实问题方面所体现出的现实主义精神和经济学本土化的努力 ,从而试图对中国经济学在 2 1世纪的发展作出前瞻性的思考。

The author surveys current developments in Western economics, focusing on the more influential institutional ideas and the latest trends in various schools. Based on the development of institutional economics in China, the author also reviews the theoretical successes and failures in the development of Chinese economics over the past twenty years. He reveals the realist spirit in Chinese economic circles, and their efforts to adapt economics to Chinese conditions in their exploration and interpretation of China's two major issues-reform and development. The author also predicts trends in the development of Chinese economics in the coming century.
