Traditional Dai Bamboo buildings in Xishuangbanna were once called Ju Luo. Original construction and planning reflect influences from regional customs, ethnic customs and dualist religion. Specifically, the architecture shows the influences of ancient Baiyue culture, the Dai village, primitive religions, and Buddhism. The study of the cultural origins and evolution of these buildings will be of realistic significance to a scientific planning of Dai towns and to the development of “Dai Village Tourism”.
