The advantages and disadvantages of enrollment expansion in colleges and universities are intro- duced and induced.It states that the increasing number of students in colleges and universities indicates that the higher education in China has stepped into an extraordinary development era.The five important factors that have delayed the development of colleges and universities are investment in education,condition for running the school, benefit for nmning the school,quality of education and obtaining employment of students.Directed at the measures taken for quality control in education——'easy entry and hard exit'——it states that colleges and universities should follow the route of connotation development so as to carry out the countermeasure of continuous development.
