A Study on the Web-Based Media Literacy Education in College English Teaching

大学英语教学的信息化改革使得网络媒介的内容大量融入学生的学习过程,加强大学生的英文媒介素养势在必行。本文阐述了英语教师应如何从语言技能层面、媒介常识层面和批判性语篇分析层面,在英语课程中实施媒介素养教育。同时指出,课时短缺、师资不足和教材匮乏等问题是在大学英语教学中落实媒介素养教育的难点。

IT-based reform in college English tezching has enabled a large amoun~ of web-based media informa- tion to enter the learning process. Therefore, it is essential to improve the students＇ Internet-based media litera- cy. College English teachers can carry out media literacy education by enhancing the students＇ language profi- ciency, common sense of mass media and ability in analytical discourse analysis. However, shortages in teaching hours, qualified teachers and textbooks have become major obstacles in this progress.
