Investigation of job burnout of male nurses in comprehensive tertiary hospitals

目的了解综合性三级医院男护士工作倦怠状况及其人口学影响因素。方法通过方便取样法，应用中文版工作倦怠量表（CMBI）及自制一般资料调查表对湖北省10家综合性三级医院的190名男护士进行调查。结果190名男护士的倦怠检出率为50．5％（96人），其中轻度倦怠占36．8％（70人）、中度倦怠占12．6％（24人）、高度倦怠占1．1％（2人）；倦怠单因素检出率中，人格解体占27．4％（52人），耗竭占25．3％（48人），成就感降低占12．6％（24人）；除不同编制的男护士之间耗竭维度得分差异有统计学意义（F=5．537，P〈0．05）外，其他不同人口学特征男护士之间的各倦怠维度得分差异无统计学意义（P〉0．05）。结论综合性三级医院一半以上男护士存在一定程度的工作倦怠，主要表现为人格解体及耗竭；不同编制对男护士耗竭程度有影响。

Objective To investigate the job burnout situation and its demographic influencing factors of male nurses in comprehensive tertiary hospitals. Methods Convenience sample, Chinese maslach burnout inventory （CMBI） as well as self-designed questionnaire were used to investigate 190 male nurses in 10 comprehensive tertiary hospitals in Wuhan Province. Results 96 male nurses out of 190 had job burnout （50.5%）, among which 70 （36.8%） had mild burnout, 24 （12.6%） had moderate burnout and 2 （1.1%） had severe burnout. The single-factor detection rates of job burnout were 27.4% （52/190） for depersonalization, 25.3% （48/190） for emotional exhaustion and 12.6% （24/190） for diminished personal accomplishment. Except the significant differences of the score for emotional exhaustion among male nurses of different authorized strength （F = 5. 537 ,P 〈 005）, there were no significant differences of the scores for each burnout dimension among other different demographic characteristics of male nurses （P 〉 0.05 ）. Conclusions More than half of male nurses in comprehensive tertiary hospitals have experienced job burnout to some extent, the main manifestation is depersonalization and emotional exhaustion, and different authorized strengths have a significant effect on male nurses＇ emotional exhaustion.
