From Translation Studies to Constructing Cultures On the Conception of “Performability”in Drama Translation

在英国学者苏珊·巴斯内特的戏剧翻译理论中,"可表演性"原则一直是国内学术界关注的热点之一。但是,作者本人对这一术语的认知却随着时间的推移发生了变化。从1980年出版的《翻译研究》使用此术语,到1998年成书的《文化构建》放弃使用此术语,体现了她对戏剧翻译研究的文化转向。通过梳理苏珊·巴斯内特不同历史时期对于"可表演性"原则的表述,分析了作者此一转向背后的深层原因,廓清了国内学术界对于"可表演性"概念的认识误区。

The British scholar Susan Bassnett deals with the discussion of drama translation in her 2 books：Translation Studies（1980） and Constructing Cultures（1998）.From using to abandoning the term of ＂performability＂,it embodies her cultural transformation of research of drama translation.This article tries to correct the cognitive errors of the conception of ＂performability＂ in academic community,by studying Susan Bassnett＇s representation about the principle of ＂performability＂ in different historical period.
