Strengthening supervision and management,promoting harnessing of small and medium-sized rivers

为提高全国中小河流防洪抗灾能力,促进民生水利发展,国家于2009年启动了中小河流治理工作。回顾了3年来长江流域片中小河流治理的工作历程;对流域机构认真履行监督管理职能,全力以赴推进中小河流治理工作的经验进行了总结。经过各地、各部门的团结协作和艰苦努力,长江流域片内中小河流治理试点项目基本完成,并在2010,2011,2012年的防汛抗洪中发挥了重要作用,为大规模推进中小河流治理工作奠定了基础。

The course of harnessing of small and medium - sized rivers in Yangtze River Basin in the last 3 years is reviewed. The experiences that the authorities in the basin fulfilled their responsibility of supervision and management conscientiously and promoted the harnessing of small and medium - sized rivers with all efforts are reviewed. Through hard work and collaboration of multi departments in different regions, the pilot projects of harnessing of small and medium - sized rivers are finished, which played a significant role in flood control in 2010, 2011 and 2012 and laid a foundation for promoting harnessing of small and me- dium - sized rivers in large scale.
