百年美学的兴起和演变与近代中国启蒙思想相伴 ,它既受西方启蒙学说的影响 ,同时也是对中国传统美学的改造 ,涌现出梁启超、鲁迅、王国维以及宗白华、朱光潜先生等一大批美学大师。他们将美学建设与改造国民性、塑造健康人格时代重任结合起来 ,其立人精神与美学理论浑然融为一体 ,给我们今天的文化建设 。

Aesthetics of the century rose and developed together with modern Chinese Enlightenment. It was subject to the influences of Western Enlightenment theories and was at the same time transforming traditional Chinese aesthetics, prompting the emergence of a large group of masters of aesthetics like Liang Qi-chao, Lu Xun, Wang Guo-wei, Zhong Bai-hua, and Zhu Guang-qian, etc. They integrated aesthetic construction and the task of reforming national character and molding sound personality. Their spirit of being and aesthetic theories blend together, leaving us a highly respectable example for cultural construction.
