Advanced Planning and Multiple Innovation: A study on the Sustainable Development of Garden Exposition

园林博览会这项起源于西方的博览形式在我国发展已逾十年。作为重要的城市事件,其规模和影响力迅速扩大,同时也面临着形式化的盲目攀比、自然资源的严重浪费、经济上的入不敷出与文化创造力的匮乏等发展瓶颈。该文以近年来国际上具有代表性的园林博览会为研究对象,旨在通过对其成功经验与失败教训的总结和分析,为我国园林博览会在规划和运营方面的相关问题提供借鉴,对如何通过规划先行、多元创新性设计等方法促进我国园林博览会的可持续发展作了分析与思考。

The Garden Exposition as an exotic thing has developed in China for more than 10 years. Also, as the big city event, its scale and influence is expanding fast. However, it faces series of problems, which include the unrealistically comparing on the size and quantity, seriously wasting of natural resources, disappointing incomes after the exposition and most important- lacking of innovation. By summarizing their merits and demerits on planning and management, we take the typical world famous Garden Expositions as examples, and try to show how to improve the sustainable development by the approach of advanced planning and multiple innovative design ideas for the garden exposition in China.
