摘要
"老师"是社会各界对从事教育行业的人员最为尊敬和亲切的称谓,在新的历史条件下,被称为老师的人几乎涵盖了社会各行各业,老师已经不再是带有职业内涵的称谓,而是变成了一种社会的泛称,甚至变成了普通人的交际称呼。文章主要从社会语言学角度探讨"老师"词义的演变趋势和泛化原因。
'Teacher'is a respectful form of address towards those who are engaged in education.Under new historical situation,person who is called teacher nearly cover all trades and professions.Teacher is not an address,which carries professional connotation,but becomes an extensive use of society.This paper aims to discuss the developing trends of'teacher'and the reasons of its extensive use from the perspective of sociolinguistics.
