况周颐的《粤西词见》是广西历史上第一部词作总集,其编纂的动机除保存粤西词作文献之外,还有借编撰以度无聊生涯之意。在存词、选词、评词、注词等方面有其特殊的价值,同时又存在着一定的不足。作为一部重要的词学文献著作,其草创之功不可抹灭。

Kuang Zhouyi＇s work Yuexi Cijian is the first general collection of Ci in Guangxi history. Apart from aiming at preserving the Ci literature of the west of Guangdong,to spend the boring life was also a purpose to compile it. It has special values in preserving words, choosing words,remarking words,and noting words,at the same time,it has also some inaccuracy. As an important Ci documentary work,it is a great achievement in terms of initialwork.
