The classification,new features and significance of the new style schools are described.New Schools is a lower level of education modernization movement,but as the first attempt of Chinese modern education,it introduced modern science and technology to the classroom;changed the teaching content of traditional education;shaken the structure of the feudal system of education;promoted the disintegration progress of the feudal education objectively;and accelerated the pace of China＇s modern education reform.
