Josephde Premare＇s The Confucianism isa classic of Confucianism, which isinvolved with god, ghost, spirit, morals, funeral, etc.By briefly introducing the background of figurism and Joseph de Premare＇s story of the Mission Board, this paper summarizes the basic content of The Confucianism and analyses how Joseph de Premare preached the word of God by merging Confucianism and Christianism together.Therefore,we can understand better strategies of missionaries in China at that time and their ways to interpret Confucianism.
